Hey Cyn Jo, you bring up some interesting points. The gut biome and genetics definitely make some people more likely to experience anxiety. And getting a handle on some of the physical aspects can help bring anxiety in check.

But when you are actively experiencing anxiety, you are experiencing a thought in your head. The feeling of anxiety is not one of “hmmm, my gut feels out of whack.” Its voices and thoughts racing around in your head.

So for me, to be able to manage those thoughts has been very helpful to try to get my anxiety in check.
