YES Shannon Ashley . I have several close family members, male and female, that I highly suspect are on the spectrum. But, they are older and no one ever thought to diagnose them or help them figure out accommodations that could help them thrive. Instead, they were punished for simply being who they are. I can’t wait for the world to catch up and understand more about the diversity that exists in our brains. I think unless people can “see” a difference — like a missing limb — it is still really hard for them to understand it. But if you know how to look, its so obvious that is just a different way of being.

Thanks for bringing more light to this important issue.
